다음 단계로 발을 내딛는 용기

우리가 '경험'이라 부르는 것들은
실패의 합계일 때가 많다. 그렇기 때문에
우리는 이미 너무나 많은 실수를 저지른 듯
두려움에 가득 차 다음 단계로 발을 내디딜 용기를 내지
못한다. 그럴 때마다 솔즈베리 경의 말을 기억하자.
"의사들 말만 믿으면 위생적인 게 없고,
신학자들 말만 믿으면 죄 아닌 게 없으며,
군인들 말만 믿으면 안전한 곳은 없다."
